Our Story

Welcome to Southard Farms in Madison, Alabama. We are producing pasture raised pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs outdoors on a rotational grazing system through pasture and wood lots. Using sustainable and humane methods while regenerating the land is our goal. Our hogs are a closed herd inlcuding a farrow to finish operation. Our laying hens and turkeys are raised from day old chicks and are completely outside rotated across alfalfa fields once they start laying eggs. Our broiler chickens are raised from day old chicks, moved to pasture at three weeks old and rotated daily across fresh pasture. Our pigs are farrow to finish which means they are born here and grow up all the way to finished size.

  1. Select your products and add them to your cart. Click on your cart when you are ready to check out.
  2. Choose pick up at Southard Farms in Madison, AL three days per week Mon, Wed, Fri 4-5pm and Sun Noon-1pm or delivery on Monday, and Tuesday 5-9pm. Flat rate delivery available by zip code including Athens, Madison, and Huntsville. Free delivery with minimum order amounts.

Isom’s Orchard has a huge selection of their own peaches, apples, strawberries, blackberries, and huge variety of vegetables.

Southard Farms raises pastured pigs, laying hens, and broiler chickens using sustainable methods including rotational grazing. The animals are raised outdoors where they can use their natural instincts to provide you the best tasting and nutritious pork, chicken, and eggs.
